My new adventure is Carolina Stitchworks, where I create art quilts based on my inspirations from the beach and mountains of North Carolina where I am fortunate to live.

Carolina Stitchworks allows me to combine my background of formal studio art training with my twenty years experience as a quilter and designer. Each work of art is unique. I sketch drawings then select & cut fabrics to give them color and dimension. Turning them into “Stitchworks” is what really brings them to life and makes them distinct. To do so, I return to drawing again, this time with colored threads and my sewing machine; covering the piece with stitches.

My pieces are wall-hanging sized art quilts made with high-quality quilt cotton that are conveniently non-breakable and are machine washable if necessary. Come see them in person at Crossroads Gathering Place –Oak Island, NC & soon to come to Nest & Nook –Purcellville, VA!
